Yay for the Bay…
Yesterday I did something out of the ordinary and took the Bay Ferry back home from San Francisco to Oakland. Actually before I even boarded the boat, I was so excited about the trip that I decided to buy a book of twenty tickets (one-way - $85.00).
I guess I’ve always considered a boat trip a luxury, instead of a simple method of transportation. The feeling of floating, leaving the city for a few minutes, and drifting along to a destination is very relaxing and calming for me. Taking your bike on the Ferry is encouraging, and there are not all the stairs, and stop and starts that you have to deal with on the BART. With such beautiful weather in the Bay Area at this time of year, i’m surprised there weren’t as many people on the Ferry. I’m looking forward to my next ride
